Herman Katz Cangemi & Clyne Senior Partner Robert S. Katz has devoted his legal practice exclusively to property tax matters both locally and nationwide since 1978. One of the firm's co-founders, Bob is dedicated to providing the expert level of professional services to his clients that has become the benchmark of HKCC. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully represented investors in and owners of hotels, regional and specialty shopping centers and department stores, office buildings, and apartment complexes. Bob's clients own or manage more than 15 million square feet of office space, 16 million square feet of regional malls and other retail facilities, 7,500 hotel rooms, and 250,000 residential units nationwide.
He is an officer of the board of directors of the Real Estate Tax Bar Association and is a former member of the Tax Certiorari and Condemnation Committees for both the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York Bar Association as well as the Town of Mamaroneck Revaluation Committee. He frequently guest lectures at accounting and trade group seminars across the United States.
Bob received an undergraduate degree from New York University in 1969 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1972.
